NIMBO Surface Speakers in the Olympia Lis Boutique Hotel Audio System
The Olympia Lis Boutique Hotel in Lisbon required a distributed audio system designed specifically for a high-end hospitality environment. The project focused on three core objectives: controlled multi-zone audio distribution, seamless architectural integration, and simplified long-term system management.
The system needed to deliver consistent sound pressure levels across public areas, maintain speech intelligibility in social spaces, and provide operational flexibility without adding complexity for hotel staff.

Audio System Design with NIMBO Surface Speakers
The installation includes:
6 NIMBO 24 surface loudspeakers
4 VIC 6 ceiling loudspeakers
2 VIDA 24 digital amplifiers
System supervision and control are handled through EclerCLOUD, enabling centralized management.
The NIMBO 24 surface speakers were selected for their controlled dispersion pattern and tonal consistency in open hospitality spaces. For this project, the units were finished in gold, matching the interior design concept of the hotel.
Rather than concealing the system, the loudspeakers were intentionally integrated into the visual identity of the space while maintaining high acoustic performance.
In areas where a more discreet solution was required, VIC 6 ceiling loudspeakers were installed. Their coaxial configuration ensures uniform coverage and stable frequency response, allowing balanced sound distribution even in zones with varied seating layouts.
Digital Amplification and DSP Processing
Two VIDA 24 digital amplifiers provide multi-channel amplification and integrated DSP processing.
The platform enables:
Independent zone configuration
Flexible input routing
Acoustic equalization tailored to each space
Centralized amplification simplifies rack infrastructure and allows the system to be reconfigured or expanded in the future without structural changes.
Cloud-Based Audio Control for Hotel Operations
System management is handled through EclerCLOUD, which enables:
Remote volume control
Source selection per zone
Scheduling and automation
System monitoring
For hotel staff, this means daily adjustments can be performed without accessing the technical rack, improving operational efficiency and reducing maintenance time.
Result: Consistent Multi-Zone Sound for Hospitality Spaces
The final installation delivers stable tonal balance and controlled multi-zone audio distribution across all public areas.
By combining surface speakers and ceiling speakers, the system adapts to different architectural conditions while maintaining overall acoustic coherence.
The Olympia Lis Boutique Hotel project demonstrates how a distributed audio system for hospitality can combine clear zoning, centralized processing, and cloud management to support both operational efficiency and consistent sound quality.
